When a job becomes something you love, it becomes part of who you are '€“ the core of your personality. The Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau'€™s new '€œFaces of Tourism'€ video series invites you into a world where those who love what they do have become heroes of hospitality.

Did you know that 45 million world travelers visited Anaheim and Orange County in 2013? They spent $9.6 billion in 2013 year alone. In fact, 157,000 people have tourism-related jobs in Anaheim and OC and these people make up the Faces of Tourism. When tourism business thrives it helps the community thrive by giving locals more dining, nightlife, sports, shopping and entertainment options.

Behind every mom-and-pop shop or iconic venue in Orange County are people looking for a way to make you smile. They welcome people from all over the world, and their positive attitudes become your unforgettable experience.

In honor of those who make the business of travel and tourism fun, the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau created the '€œFaces of Tourism'€ video series. These five pilot videos feature real-life stories of individuals, families and business owners whose lives, lifestyles and livelihood are touched by the success of tourism in Anaheim and Orange County.

In this series, our heroes hail from various walks of the hospitality industry; from the front lines of the Disneyland Resort to independent hoteliers. Each of these hospitality ambassadors shares their unique take on how tourism has made a difference in their lives.

The fabulous five Faces of Tourism featured this month are:

Rose Gianquinto. Rose welcomes each guest like they'€™ve come home from a long trip. She is the smiling face of The Catch Restaurant who greets everyone with her effervescent personality and warm smile.

Steve Valkenburg." Steve is the quintessential Disneyland Resort employee, as he enjoys the color and imagination of this special place, and making magical moments for guests every day.

Lynda Santos. Owner of Healthy Junk restaurant, Lynda, bubbles over with passion and enthusiasm while serving handcrafted comfort food with a healthy flair.

Barbara and Greg Gerovac." Barbara and Greg are the hands-on brewers and owners of the Anaheim Brewery, where the art and science of brewing beer spills over into their dedication and devotion to the community.

Bharat and Rashika Patel. Bharat and Rashika know the importance of family and fun. This belief shines through in the way they run their three-generation family business. Treating customers like family is what makes them stand out and brings them joy.

The '€œFaces of Tourism'€ video series coincides with National Travel and Tourism Week, May 3-11, 2014, an annual salute to the hospitality industry lead by the U.S. Travel Association. As part of the weeklong celebration, one new video will be released each day through May 11.
