With many frightful Halloween events designed to scare the pants off guests, it’s difficult to find a family-friendly celebration of this ghoulish holiday. Thanks to Disneyland Park, families of all ages can enjoy a night of mostly fright-less festivities! Guests are invited to have a spooky good time at Mickey’s Halloween Party, running select nights from Friday, September 27 until Halloween Night.
More Than A Day at the Park
As a separate ticketed event, many folks wonder if attending Mickey’s Halloween Party is worth paying the additional admission. When asked, my answer is always “No, it’s not worth the additional
admission.” What I mean is that a ticket to Mickey’s Halloween Party is a better deal than paying for a day in the park and
admission to the party. Access to nearly all attractions is available throughout the party, and because tickets are limited and the event takes place after park hours, guests typically experience more attractions due to less crowds and shorter lines. Furthermore, all guests can come costumed (though be sure to view the costume guidelines here
), and get an experience only had during Mickey’s Halloween Party.
Mickey’s Halloween Party takes place inside Disneyland Park during Halloween Time
, kicking off Friday the 13th (of September). Halloween Time features Disney Villains, Mickey Mouse and other characters in their Halloween best, a Dia de los Muertos
celebration, Jack Skellington’s takeover of Haunted Mansion Holiday
and a thrilling galactic ghost invasion on Space Mountain
Ghost Galaxy. Additionally, party guests are invited to stay past normal park closing for dance parties, trick-or-treating, performances by The Cadaver Dans, Villain encounters in Villains Square and a viewing of Mickey’s Costume Party Cavalcade parade and Halloween Screams fireworks spectacular. Plus, guests get A LOT of candy. Due to these party-exclusive events and amenities, I also recommend Mickey’s Halloween Party to Annual Passholders
, who can purchase discounted party tickets here
New for 2013
Joining the spook-tacular line-up this year are Piratepalooza Treats and Mickey’s Toontown, two new locations on Mickey’s Hide and Go Treat Trails. Mike and Sulley will also join Mickey’s Halloween Party this year at Monsters U Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, which will feature a spirited Monster Scare-Off.
